Naturally aromatic. Imported. Since 1947. Basmati Rice is an extra long, slender grain of white rice cultivated in the fertile Punjab region of South Asia. Known for the wonderful aroma it releases during cooking and for its unique taste, Basmati Rice cooks up light and fluffy and is perfect for pilafs or side dishes eaten with curries, chicken, meat dishes or stews. www.vigofoods.com. Cooking Instructions: In a saucepan with tight-fitting lid, bring 3 cups salted water and 1 tbsp butter (optional). Add 12 oz Basmati Rice (entire package contents) and stir while boiling for 1 minute. Cover, reduced heat to low and cook undisturbed for 18-22 minutes. Fluff and serve. Hint: To cook less than the contents of the entire package, use 2 parts water to one part rice.
